    It's just right.

For years, I have been cooking over the stove and unconsciously leaning in time and again and bumping my head on the previous hood which jutted out 22.5". Honestly, we rarely needs these appliances but for the one time a year that smoke arises from stovetop cooking. Still, when that happens, you're glad you have one. The Broan is only 17.5 and does not jut out that extra five inches and I swear I wish I knew about it 15 years ago. I love it!

    What an improvement!

My old range hood was disgusting when we bought this house. I tried cleaning it with several different products to no avail. My husband found this on line, and we installed it ourselves. It looks great, works great, and totally changes the lighting in my kitchen Thank you!!!

    Hello Sherry,

Can this hood vent out the back?

Broan 30 In. Elite EW 48 Series Range Hood With Color Options (EW4830)

    The Range Hood Store

    Hello Christy,

This hood vents out of the top, however, the chimney is only 3-sided so if you need to run the duct through an outside wall, you are able to do that with this range hood.

Thank you and if you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.
